The dried tubers of Curcuma wenyujin Y.H. Chen et C. Ling, Curcuma wenyujin C longa L.、 Guangxi Curcuma C Kwangsiensis S. G. Lee et C. F. Liang or C .phaeocaulis Val. The first two are commonly referred to as "Wen Yu Jin" and "Huang Si Yu Jin" respectively, while the rest are commonly referred to as "Gui Yu Jin" or "Green Si Yu Jin" depending on their characteristics.
【 Origin 】
Wenyujin is mainly produced in provinces such as Zhejiang and Fujian; Turmeric and Curcuma are mainly produced in Sichuan province; Curcuma zedoaria is mainly produced in Guangxi.
【Harvesting and Processing】
After the stems and leaves wither in winter, they are harvested, removed of sediment and fine roots, steamed or boiled until they are fully penetrated, and dried.
【 Quality 】
Solid and yellow cross-section is preferred.
