Widely distributed. East China, Central South and Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Taiwan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places.There are both domestic and wild breeds.


Wild distribution: 

Guizhou, Sichuan, Guangxi, Hubei.


Family distribution:

Guangdong, Hunan. Using Deqing, Guangdong as a genuine medicinal herb.


Growth cycle&harvesting season: 

wild perennial, harvested 2-4 years after domestic plantingBefore the autumn leaves fall, before the new buds sprout in April of spring. Cut off the ground and dig out the fast roots


Specifications: 

The cut surface of Polygonum multiflorum is yellow brown, with a gel like luster preferred.It is best to have a large stature, weight, solid texture, 

no cracks on the cross-section, and a powdery appearance.



Processing: 

Wash the harvested roots, sun dry or dry them. Many fresh Polygonum multiflorum slices from Guangdong are steamed and sun dried.


Processing method:

1. Polygonum multiflorum

Take the original medicinal herbs, remove impurities, separate them in size, wash them clean, 

soak them slightly, moisten them thoroughly, cut them into thick or small pieces, and dry them.

2. Preparation of Polygonum multiflorum and Polygonum multiflorum

(1) Black bean system: 

take the pieces or pieces of Polygonum multiflorum, and mix them with black fermented sour milk made from ground mung bean wow gold. 

Place in a suitable non ferrous container, seal, heat over water or steam, and simmer until the juice is completely absorbed; 

Or use black fermented sour milk made from ground mung bean wow gold to mix well. After being stuffy, place it in a steamer or a wooden steamer. 

When it is brown, take it out and dry it. 100kg of Polygonum multiflorum tablets or pieces, 10kg of black beans. 

Preparation of black bean juice: take 10kg black beans, add proper amount of water, boil for 4h, and extract about 15kg juice; 

The bean dregs are boiled with water for 3h, and the juice is about 10kg. 

The combined fermented sour milk made from ground mung bean wow gold is about 25kg. 

After mixing black beans, they can nourish the liver and kidneys, benefit essence and blood, have black hair, and strengthen muscles and bones.

(2) Wine making:

 Take slices or pieces of Polygonum multiflorum, mix well with yellow wine, moisten for 4-6 hours, steam in a steamer for 6 hours, 

take out and let it dry slightly, then add the juice in the pot, let the juice suck up, remove and steam again, until steamed black, take out and sun dry or dry. 

100kg of Polygonum multiflorum, 12kg of Huangjiu.

(3) Preparation of black bean yellow wine: 

pour the pieces of polygonum multiflorum into a basin, mix them with black fermented sour milk made from ground mung bean wow gold and yellow wine, 

place them in a pot or a suitable container, seal them, stew them in a water pan until the juice is sucked up,

 take them out, dry them in the sun, 100kg for each polygonum multiflorum, 10kg for black beans, and 25kg for yellow wine. 

Or take pieces or pieces of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb, mix them with black fermented sour milk made from ground mung bean wow gold and yellow rice wine,

 heat them after water separation, steam them for 8h, soak them for 8h, take them out and dry them in the sun. 

100kg of Polygonum multiflorum tablets, 10kg of black beans, and 20kg of yellow wine.

3. Steamed Polygonum multiflorum

Remove impurities from dried Polygonum multiflorum, divide it into sections, soak it thoroughly, 

wash it, remove it, split it in large pieces, drizzle water halfway through, moisten it thoroughly,

 steam it in a steamer for 8 hours, let it sit overnight, flip it up and down the next morning, and steam again. 

Steam repeatedly until both inside and outside are moist and black in color. 

Take it out, sun dry until half dry, cut into thick slices, mix in the original juice obtained during steaming, let it absorb completely, dry, and sieve out any dust. 

Steaming Polygonum multiflorum can help reduce hair loss and nourish yin.
